Our story

Why Sofi is free. No catch.

When I found out I was going to be a dad and that we were having a daughter, I wanted to build something for her. We decided to name her Sofija, and I started building this app as a gift — something my wife and I could use to track her feeding, sleep, and everything else in those early days.

I looked at what was out there. Most apps wanted $60–$120 a year for features like sleep predictions. That felt wrong. It's a timer with an algorithm. It shouldn't cost more than a month of diapers.

So I built Sofi with everything included from the start. Sleep predictions, Apple Watch, caregiver sync, offline mode — all free. No premium tier, no ads, no "upgrade to unlock."

What started as a personal project for our family grew into something other parents found useful too. It's still built the same way — by a parent, for parents.
